Signs in the City

With the intention of posting the signs in the city, Flora, Paola and Kris met with the MVCC to find out how we approach the powers that be. The MVCC, one of whom is a graduated NSW dad; Albert Olson, invited us to exhibit the children's signs at their "Green Booth" at the farmer's market yesterday. They also arranged to have Gary Walker from the Argonaut interview us for an article and invited Councilman Bill Rosendahl and Congresswoman Jane Harman to the market to meet us.

We had paper making available and the children's signs were posted under the tent.

IMG_4568 Kai and Jodi checked out the work.

IMG_4588 Alumni children as well as current children came to make paper and visit.

When the politicians arrived, they were impressed with the children's ability to articulate their concern and with the signs. Councilman Rosendahl invited us to exhibit their work in his office. We'll be following up on that campaign promise!

Covering all bases in City Hall, we took a photo op with Marcy Winograd, the democratic candidate for congress.

It was the sweetest day because of all the families who came out to see the children's work. Thank you so much for your support and be sure to scan the Farmer's Market flickr folder to see everyone who came out that day. We'll let you know when the Argonaut article is out.
