Ocean View Farms Friday

The pumpkin vine has stretched to the opposite side of our plot at Ocean View Farms, and if I were better organized, I’d have taken pictures when I watered and weeded at 7am this morning! I cut some artichokes and need to investigate when the corn is deemed “ripe” because I think they’re ready too!

The heirloom tomatoes are lobed, heavy, and still green. These guys are going to be HUGE! We also have sprouted seeds from a yellow bell pepper that we saved from Jessica’s lunch, and, there’s a gorgeous eggplant flowering as well as a cucumber vine.

Come with me Friday from 1:00-2:00 to see all the growth and offer your opinion on the corn. The focus of this trip will be WEEDING – we are growing a bumper crop of crab grass and that’s against the rules at OVF.

Wear a hat, bring gloves and a spade – and some weed cloth if you have it!

Email Kris if you’d like to help out this Friday – kids welcome!
