“To the East Wing, Love Hazel.” – Hazel

The East Wing relationships are clearly based on a community regard for each other and their school. This was highlighted during morning greeting recently, when puzzles are popular on the rug. As the children join puzzle pieces together, they develop a plan to solve it engaging in earnest conversations and encouraging connections. Hazel, who has made relationships through these experiences, observed that a puzzle was incomplete.

A few days later she walked in with a wrapped gift. Teacher Melanie and Hazel read the attached note to the large group during morning circle. “To the East Wing. Love, Hazel.” To everyone’s delight, it was a complete Fairy Tale Castle Floor Puzzle.

In unison, the children say: Thank you, Hazel!

Asher: Guys, don’t lose the pieces. We have to take care of it because a kid from here gave it to us.

Nico: Yea, don’t bend the pieces. We have to take care of them.

Chloe Paloma: We have to take care of all our things!
