Halloween Day Reminders

Halloween Day Reminders

1.  The parade will begin at 9:30 on Friday, October 29th.

2. Children should come to school wearing their costumes (if they so choose) at their regular times and bring an extra set of clothes for changing.  LABEL EVERYTHING.

3.Children who do not attend school on Friday, can join the children at 9:00 circle to talk about expectations and have photos with their groups.  Parents will be all together out on Venice Blvd.  We’ll have refreshments for you.

4. Remember that props, though fun, can cause a number of problems.  Keep safety in mind when choosing accessories and please don’t bring anything to school that will upset you if it is lost or broken.

Please, no masks of any kind.

5. Outside the front gate on Venice is the meeting place for all the parents.

6. Roleen will dress in her witch costume with the children in the morning and lead the parade.  That means she’ll be the first one out the gate so let your siblings know.

7. We will be parading in the Flower groups so you can join your child’s teacher when you see her.

8. We will be parading down the West side of May St. and cross to the East side of May St. at Marco Pl. and walk back to the Venice entrance.  We will not be trick or treating.  We will just be parading and waving to the neighbors.  Please be respectful of our neighbor’s gardens along the parade route.  We had some complaints in the past years that people trampled on flowers and ornamental grasses so let’s me conscious of that this year.

9. The parade should last about 20 to 30 minutes.

10. Remember, we will be saying goodbye to parents and the children who do not attend school on Friday at the gate and the Friday children will be going inside their classrooms with their teachers.

 11. We will be serving a pizza lunch for $5.00.  There will be an envelope on the office door.  This is for the children who attend school on Friday.
