Eliotte started school today after a vacation in France. She had come on some play dates but brought a book, A Lion in Paris, to share at morning circle as a transition object.
Teacher Silvana: What’s this on the first page?
Roen: It’s a map.
Gus: That black spot is where Eliotte found the book.
Eliotte shakes her head, no.: That’s where the lion is.
Eliotte shared that she was on the Eiffel Tower, but not all the way up. Teacher Silvana shared that she was on the Seine, pictured there. Several children related stories of travel to Paris. This well travelled group was then on their way to appointments to begin a day of focus, friendships, and memories.
