Let’s make a crib as a present – Owen

“A strong connection to the world  is wedded to a fundamental human drive to shape that connection, that bond, that vision that we, each as a unique human being, feel and understand in our own particular way.  Judith Burton (1991) reminds us that we do not so much represent things in our works in materials as we represent our particular relationship with those things. Thus, we are not drawing, sculpting, or painting objects. Rather, we are drawing and sculpting our relationships.” Bringing Learning to Life by Louise Boyd Cadwell

Most of the players in this Crib Group have younger siblings and therefore a lot of knowledge about a baby’s needs.  As a group they’re bonded over their common knowledge. They have extended the empathy toward babies to the other wing’s needs and as a result are constructing new relationships.
