The snack table provides an easy social experience for the children to comingle and share stories. During this seemingly casual moment, there is a lot of learning going on.

Throughout snack, the children scaffold each other, reference the menu, and negotiate with their peers to pass bowls. This all occurs of course, while they use napkins, clean up after themselves at the end of their snack and push in their chairs.
