Roxanne and Aliana’s mom, Maribel, accompanied Aliana, Phedon, Sonia, and Ephy to the Farmers Market today with an agenda. The sugar snap peas were no longer producing and the children took photos and concerns to Farmer Pete. We revisited Robin Murez’s (whom they met) installation of the baseball mounds near the farmers market.
We were surprised to discover fruit combinations: plum and apricot (pluot), we smelled the flowers and left our full body marks in the chalk section. Turns out that sugar snap pea season has come to an end and the plants are deteriorating as they should in the warmer weather. Time for a seasonal planting change…
