I am so very grateful for the generosity of the parents. This gift really helped my husband and I this season. Like last year, he was sick for a portion of it and financially this helped us not feel worried while away in Maryland visiting my mother in law. We were also able to be a bit more generous ourselves because of it and we got a lot of Christmas shopping in for our family! So thank you so much! Jen
My family and I are grateful for all the NSW families’ generous gift. We celebrated this Christmas with yummy food and extra presents to our extended family. I’m floored and grateful for the generosity of the parents’ monetary gift- the timing couldn’t have been more miraculous! A Christmas miracle! Here’s the story: In light of the situation of figuring out the timing for transitioning to live on the Westside, it has partially been right timing, right place, and finances. Just this past weekend I saw a post/place that looked promising. I went by Wednesday and was trying to figure out how it’d work to move in January and pay double rent to close out my Pasadena place. In short, this morning I found out the cash gift was the exact amount to cover my last 30 days due in Pasadena, and by the end of the day found out I’d been the chosen candidate in a shared apartment with 2 amazing girls! And just 7 minutes from NSW! I’m still in awe of God’s provision but through the openness, generosity, and care of this amazing community, you all have helped cultivate! My words cannot describe the gratitude I feel. Being gifted so generously allowed for the most stress-free holiday time with my family. I was able to bring my two youngest children home from college to join the whole family, welcome a full house of tamale making with extended family and friends, avoid using credit cards, and the bonus was being able to have a wonderful meal at Lawry’s. I am very thankful for all the support I continuously receive from our NSW parents. Every year I’m amazed by the love and respect I receive from my NSW community.
