DID YOU KNOW that the WW and EW are working on opening a Post Office?
The children are debating on (1) Mailbox for the school or ( 2) one for each wing.
They will also be able to ask questions of a real postman (Sage’s grandfather) via Ichat or Skype.
They are exploring different ideas of sorting the mail and where each student’s mailbox will be in the school (maybe attached to their cubby).
There are also plans for opening the Post Office with designated store hours where the children can sell real stamps.
DID YOU KNOW that the East Wing and West Wing are making cards as part of our stationary collection?
They are building a library of handmade cards so when someone wants to write a letter they can pick from the collection. Lots of these will be used to say goodbye to Stella and Margot as they move to Marin County this month.
DID YOU KNOW that the West Wing has been working on building relationships this month? We’re welcoming Liv Zarrow to the Rose Group on M, W, F this month and using all our skills to develop connections to the children, teachers, environment and materials with Liv. Carla Santini from the Lavender group is also joining the Lilies M-F mornings.
DID YOU KNOW Roleen left Friday, April 1st, for Italy. She’ll be returning when we all return after the spring break.
Kris will be joining her to study the schools in Pistoia, Italy from April 11th to the 17th. She would like to post while in Pistoia and will search for a place with WiFi in this tiny town to keep you connected.
