Hello everyone! We have made it through the first two weeks of school! As expected, the children are adjusting to the change in routine and new systems we have introduced. As we continue to find ways to stay connected and re-evaluate the practices we have put in place, we remain flexible in how best to keep you informed on what is going on and to make ourselves available for open conversation.
We originally thought that having weekly Zoom meetings with you on Thursdays would support our communication and connection. However, we find ourselves rethinking this system while we remain committed to keeping our connections alive. We have come up with a new system that would change our weekly Thursday Zooms to once a month.
We plan on using the remaining Thursdays to create documentation that would give you a glimpse into our days. For the month of September, this would mean that we would be meeting on Thursday, September 24th for our parent-teacher Zoom meeting, and the previous 3 Thursdays would be used for us to put together a slide show of sorts that would inform what has been going on in the classroom. This would give you an opportunity to be part of a day in the life of our groups. We hope that this would then spark possible points of conversation for our end of the next month’s Zoom meeting.

We appreciate your patience and flexibility during this time as well as your understanding and look forward to discovering, like the children, more ways through which we can continue to grow our connections.
