The book fair on May 14th here at NSW so amazing and sweet. We had a
great turn out for our first year. Thank you to Mrs. Nelson’s book
fair for making it such and easy and lovely day. Thank you to Kelli
Norman who headed it and to Kay Holland, Rachel Rothbart, Darhmini
Smith, Allison Kemper and all who were involved with
setting up, making wonderful treats and working the bake sale.
Owen-I think the book fair was wonderful. It had really good good books.
Lua- I bought some books that we have at school like the Three Horrid Little Pigs
Mia- It was fabulous. All the books were great!
Rowena- I like the books I picked out. I got the King in The Bathtub Book.
Declan- I like it because you got to keep the books and not just give them back.
Blue- My daddy read books. I like the book called Sitting Duck.
Ryan- I got a Cat and the Hat Snow Book. It is a learning book.
Lucy T. – I like buying all the books. I got 3.
Micah- It was really very, very fun! I got to get a Star Wars 3D book.
Bryce K.- I like all the books. I like the penguin book, Tacky.
Max- I liked The Max book. It’s a lizard named Max.
Ila- I liked it because I brought cupcakes to sell
Dex- It was about selling books. I got The Odd Egg and donated one to the school too.
Lena- I like it when they sold cookies and let everyone come.
We had teachers and parents reading to groups and even had 2 musicians
(friends of Kelli’s) come and play.
I personally had a great time meeting new in-coming families, having some
alumni help out (Hayley Rothbart) and being there to help recommend
books. Thank you to all of you who donated books. We had over 30 new
books donated to the school. We raised over $700 for just the library.
We are hoping to purchase a computer/scanning system to help us
keep a better inventory and track all of our books. Thank you
again! Can’t wait to do it again next year!!
