An incredible educational opportunity for supporting
children’s learning is here in Santa Monica. “The Wonder of Learning,” the newest version of The Hundred Languages of
Children exhibit, is under a tented rooftop across from the Fairmont Hotel on 2nd
and Wilshire until April 25th.
This beautiful exhibit, which began traveling in the
United States in 1981, is now in its newest version and presents the incredible
work of the schools in Reggio Emilia, Italy. These municipal schools are studied by educators throughout
the world and have inspired many schools in the United States.
It’s the first time that the exhibit is here in our
area and we’re excited. Its
message to parents, policy makers and educators has already made a significant
impact on our schools and has influenced early childhood education in a very
positive way.
Many of you have taken advantage of the times when the
exhibit is open free to the public (Thursday, 4:00 to 8:00, Saturdays, 10:00 to
4:00 and Sunday, 12:00 to 4:00) with some of you even volunteering the host
visitors. Thank you for that.
If you haven’t yet seen the exhibit, please plan to
visit before it moves to the next city on April 25th. It’s amazing!
