It wasn’t “just another Sunday night” when New School parents, old and new, joined a roster of raunchy and hilarious comics to laugh about the trials and tribulations of preschool and beyond at New School West’s annual Comedy Night. Graduate NSW dad and funny man, Greg Fitzsimmons, was the MC for his 7th year and, with the help of Zoe Freidman, a graduate NSW mom, they put together a list of amazing talents and the evening was filled with belly aching laughter. Roleen and the teachers were good sports as Greg poked fun. I now know how the nickname for this annual fundraiser (The Blue School-West) came about! Greg gave the Oscar Night hosts a run for their money! Luckily for us, he promises to return next year and so do we! Special thanks go out to Leah, our Fundraiser Committee Chair, for keeping us all on track. To Michael, Kay, Caroline, Laurie, Dharmini and Anna and Mark for the yummy food and to Allison and Jeff for overseeing the ticket sales. Thanks to all of you who came to enjoy the evening together, we’ve added another $2000 to our year’s fundraising efforts. New kitchen. . . here we come!
