Cody is at school and showing some fight which is great. He’s hanging out in the office with me so I can bathe him and dress his wounds twice a day and Cindy and I give him shots every 3 days (yes, it takes two people ha ha). Whenever I walk into a pod, the children ask about him and Katy’s children, Mabel and Kevin, even made representations for their Mint Group map making.
They’ve made them two distinctly separate tank environments for them.
And we are working on that too.
We are capitalizing on this high attention to the turtles and reconsidering the health of our ecological spheres – our atmosphere and their hydrosphere! I’m adding oxygenating plants to their tanks and sandy substrate for Cody. There are uva and uvb bulbs on order and a heating bar. Cody’s new home is almost complete. I’m anticipating a lot of messages in various waterproof materials will also accompany the tanks after Spring Break when we introduce Cody to the EW tank. – Kris
