The results of the seeding, tilling and toiling over the side yard garden has resulted in a bumper crop of lettuce! The children gathered with Flora and her student Tania to harvest. They brought back the lettuce to distribute to the families and make a salad with Katherine for snack.
Michael: “Let’s grow some more lettuce.”
Carla: “When they grow, we can eat them.”
Jasper: “Maybe they will grow sooo high, all the way to the sky and then to space!”
