Emily, David and Charlie are excited to announce the arrival of Samantha Lucille Sobie, born on October 12, 2011 at 9:34 pm.
Sammy-Lou tipped the scales at 7 lbs 12 oz, and measured 21.25 inches long. After a brief delay in the NICU, Sammy came home Monday night and was thrilled to meet her older brother. Everyone is relieved to be home and reveling in the newest addition to our family.
Charlie has taken to his new role of Big Brother with so much pride.
We are also SO grateful for the outpouring of support from New School West. Thank you, thank you! We cannot wait to have Sammy-Lou join the fall class of 2014!
PS: Teacher Sam might like to know that the *only* name Charlie ever considered for his sister besides “Pink Lemons” was Sam. Coincidence? We think not… So thanks, Sam! In case you needed “proof” of how important you are to Charlie (and us!).
