It’s Monday
It’s Monday, February 27th, 2012, and I’m peeking my head out from this sea of yellow applications cards (please save me!) to update you on things to come:
Letters for the new school year will be going out in the mail by March 5th. It’s been another grueling process as so many of you have introduced us to your friends. . . all wonderful people. I wish there was room for everyone but in the end, the numbers define the answer. With that, it’s time to move forward, acknowledge that saying “no” is not easy and call it a day. Thanks for supporting me in the process. Whew!
We’ve been really busy getting ready for our annual Reggio Teachers’ Retreat this Thursday and Friday. There’s nothing like having a party to get you to clean your house! Thursday will be our day to open our school and host the teachers from Evergreen, Branches, and both Growing Place sites. With us, that adds up to be about 75 teachers and directors! We’ve also asked the professors from SMC to join us. Sharing our work with the community is part of our mission and it feels good to strengthen connections. Thanks to all of you who have been helping to make this a great day. For those who still want to be a part of the day we need:

Sweet nibbles to give us afternoon strength
A few greeters to welcome our guests (from 1:00 to 2:00)

I was lucky enough to come to Mrilyn’s last class of her parenting series. So much great information from which to base continued conversations. Once again, I’m reminded that parents want time to play out scenarios and ask questions to further extend their learning in a trusting environment. The evening will be a Wine with Roleen format and will speak to everyone and you are welcome even if you missed Marilyn’s classes. I hope you join us. Bring some wine and some nibbles and
