The Morning Glories met at Ocean View Farms for an exploratory field trip. Yoli applied sunscreen while Sarah spoke about the garden guidelines.
Rowena: "Auntie Sarah!"
Sarah: "While we're walking, you can ask your Auntie Sarah, 'what is this crazy looking vegetable?' "
Keaton: "Or that crazy looking flower!"
At our plot, the children investigated the veggies. Some of them took photos with their parents cameras.
Karri: "If you zoom out, you can see more."
Mia: "Look, a baby cucumber!"
Lucy C.: "Let me see it."
Yu Mei: "Here, look in there."
Aidan: "Woah! This pull is hard!"
Keaton: "Here, I'll help you pull beets."
Lucy C.: "I'm hungry!"
Kris: "Let's go all the way to those trees to wash our hands and have snack."
We washed up at the outdoor sink and made our way to the picnic area where the kids ran to the top bench and treated the parents to a show.
"We all live in a Yellow Submarine, Yellow Submarine, Yellow Submarine!"
We all returned to NSW safe and sound with a pile of baby beets and a new appreciation for our neighborhood.
