Mia (WW) brought roses to NSW. Yoli set them up in the paper house in the front yard as a provocation for mixing paints.
Henry S. "Oh no! I put too much orange."
Yoli "Take a closer look at the rose. What do you see?"
Henry S. "I see some red. I'm going to put a little red. It's too dark. How about that one?"
Yoli. "White?"
Henry S. "Yes, white."
Hayden "I'm doing this one."
Yoli "The yellow one."
Hayden "Yeah, the yellow one."
Looking at the roses with a purpose assisted the children in learning the names of the colors they were using. After listening to their descriptions of measurements, 'a little', 'too much', 'two more squirts', 'half of this color', introducing measuring tools will be added to the experience.
