The East Wing has been working on a movie for some time. They have a general premise, have asked parents and peers for sounds and music to support the story, have delegated sub committees to work on script, video, acting and costumes and plan to make a storyboard because a storyboard "tells the movie's life." (Will Weber). The costume committee has finished the design stage of their work.
Lena made Riding Hood's skirt by creating a tube. The cape was trickier so they draped it. Amy was there to help. Lena shared the cape and skirt at a reflection meeting this afternoon.
Lena: I didn't draw a basket 'cause
I didn't know how.
Dawson: She needs food in her
basket.
Teacher: Where was she going?
Marcello: Maybe she got
distracted by the animals.
Teacher: Sounds like we need to
make a list of props.
The children went on to discuss a lot of things they know about movies. They're interested in video cameras, theaters, story boards, and lots of lots of scripts.
