Happy Holidays, friends! I can’t believe it’s the last week before our winter break. With so much to do, here’s a little organizational breakdown to help ease the stress so you can enjoy all that’s going on:
Tuesday the 11th (6:30-8:00)
East Wing Potluck Holiday Party (for immediate family only)
Plan to arrive by 6:15 so the children can get settled before they sing for you. It will be the usual “nightmare” with the parking so prepare for that. The children can dress up or not. Remember, it’s their night, so try not to make it about you!! We will have the food set up in the back patio, so when you arrive take it there. Bring serving utensils and it’s helpful if you put your name on your dishes. We will eat after the “show” which we plan to start on time so if you’re hungry and can’t wait until 7:15, then eat first. That goes for your children, too. It will be an exciting evening filled with high energy so we plan to have the children calm down with a rug activity (music, stories…) while the parents clean up and put things away right around 7:45 or so. That way, we can all walk out together right around 8:00. Sound good? I think it will be fun if we all work together.
There is a sign up sheet for food on the door. Make sure your dishes are plentiful enough for 20 people. We will be hungry and there will be a lot of us.
Wednesday the 12th (3:30-4:30)
This is our Special Friends Holiday Sing. Since we just don’t have the room for all our extended families and friends to attend the evening sings, we are hosting a special performance. The EW and the WW children will sing for the grandparents, nannies, godparents, aunts, uncles, etc…starting at 3:30. It gets pretty crowded so we are asking that the parents refrain from coming to this afternoon gathering since you’ll have your own evening’s entertainment. We’ll serve cookies and juice for our friends and say our goodbyes by 4:30. Sweet and simple.
