It’s Tuesday, April 2, 2013 and we’re one day back and in full swing after Spring Break. Hope yours was a relaxing one. Here’s the next couple of months:
April 3rd from 6:45 to 9: Kindergarten Night. It’s for the families who have children entering kindergarten in 2014 or 2015 (not current families going this year). Be sure to let us know if you need childcare. Looks like no one’s signed up and that’s okay. Just want to make sure Flora and/or Sam can make plans for the evening. We also need a few nibbles. We have lots of red wine from the last gathering so we’ll have that ready for you.
April 4th from 9:30 to 11:30: Coffee with Roleen at the Smuklers’ house located at 359 Sycamore Rd. SM 90402
April 15th: Trike-a-thon: EW will be from 9:30 to 10:00 and the WW will be from 3:30 to 4:00. Details will be on the calender blog.
April 17th from 9:30 to 11:30: Coffee with Roleen at the Messinas’ house located at
2215 Ocean Front Walk, Venice, 90291
May 2nd and May 3rd: School is closed for teachers’ conference at Opal School in Portland
May 10th: Silent Auction Speakeasy Party. 8:00 at the Santa Monica Bay Women’s Club
May 14th: Coffee with Roleen at the Hoeber-Leitzes home at 2561 Granville Ave. 90064
Just a few reminders while I have your attention:
Please be patient and respectful of our Parking Rules. I soooooo wish we had a parking lot that could accommodate all our needs but. . . we don’t. That said,
Þ we have designated the first parking space in the back alley as a NO PARKING zone because we want to keep the children safe. We have seen too many close calls with cars moving just too fast.
Þ do not park in the alley and so that means those of you who are lucky enough to get one of the two parking spaces, please keep the lines moving by honoring the 5 minute sign.
Þ be mindful of our neighbor’s yards and plantings.
Þ do not park in the neighbor’s driveways
Please pass this information onto your grandparents, nannies, and special friends.
