The Trike-a-Thon
Fundraiser for the children at St. Jude’s Hospital
for the
East Wingers is Monday, April 15th, from 9:30 to 10:00ish.
Please bring the children at the regular time since we want them to hear all about the day at circletime. This includes the children who do not attend on Mondays. Enter the school on Venice and bring their “wheels” and helmets with you. Be sure to put your child’s name on both. We will have signs posted with their flower group so they will know where to park them until we leave. After they park, they will enter their classrooms and have circletime as usual.
We will be leaving the front gate on Venice at 9:30 to go down May St. and then back up May St. and so if you want to join us, meet us outside. By the time we reenter the front gate of the school, it will be around 10:00/10:15 or so. Plan to say goodbye to your child at the gate and take the child’s “wheels” with you. Children who do not usually attend on Mondays will say goodbye at the gate.
We still need parents to sign up to monitor a corner to support street crossing and safety. This means that it will be your responsibility to stay at your position and help the whole group move along safely. Your child will be able to say “hi” to you as we continue on our route. Without enough help, we won’t be able to do this. Nannies can be a part of helping, too.

This is always a fun event and as with anything different, it can bring a lot of excitement. Our goal is to maintain a peaceful environment and with your help, it will be fantastic! Remember, if your child does not want to ride, they can walk with us. No one is left at school.
