Remembering a friend.
Sadly, we received news that Linda Mechanic passed away from a long fight with cancer. Linda has been a long time friend of The New School-West and the Mar Vista community. Through her Peachfest block party and her studio: Peachtree Pottery on Boise, she’s supported artists young and old and fired all our clay work.…
Open Studio Monday 11/28 -cancelled-
We’ll reschedule this for 11/5 It’s the season to gather together in community and think of others. In that spirit, we’re opening the Studio at New School-West to the parents after hours for the first time. Kris will demonstrate creating votives with clay that you can give as gifts, but you’re welcome to bring your own projects…
Kid’s Day Out this Friday
KNO 11/25 11:00-3:00 $40, $10 for siblings checks to ‘cash’ Silvana and Flora will host a kid’s night out on Friday the 25th this week. They’ll bake cookies and make dough ornaments. Lunch included (spaghetti and fruit). The sign up is on the entrance door.

Ronit (Ella’s mom, WW) came to cook with the children Thursday afternoon. She brought all the ingredient for pita pizzas and worked with the children at afternoon snack time. Teachers in the community
Last month, NAREA held their 100 Languages conference in Monterey, California and asked Reggio inspired schools to submit presentation proposals on project work.
