“We want our parents to see them too.” Owen

The East Wing children worked hard at making cupcakes for the House Area. Before Winter Break we presented Silvana with the surprise.

“Oh, they look so yummy I could eat them. How did you make them?”” Silvana

“I started sewing on the top. I had a white piece of fabric on a circle (an embroidery hoop) then I sewed a red piece of fabric. Then I sewed on the sprinkles. I used beads. Then I sewed the sides.” Kai

“I went in and out, in and out. I used thread and a needle and I used beads. I got them on the needle to put the thread in and then I went in the fabric and pushed back out.” Micah

The children have enjoyed including these delectable treats in their play and want to add more sewn pieces to the House Area. However, when the discussion of the Silent Auction came up many children wanted to first make cupcakes for this event.

“We want our parents to see them too.” Owen

“I making a beautiful rainbow with a horse under it.” Mia

“I’m making a purple flower. It’s gonna be like vanilla.” Bryce

“I want to make one that is all blue and I’m going to use the shiny beads.” Ryan

“I’m going to pretend mine is chocolate.” Lucy
