The Calendar

  Some of the East Wing children wanted to make their own calendars.

Declan: 10, 11, 12, 13, 14…15 comes next.

He and Josie moved to the classroom calendar

Declan, following the calendar with his finger: 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15.  15 is a one and a five!

Several references were made to the classroom calendar and personal calendars were made, and personalized.

  We know having an environment rich in materials assists in the learning process.  We wonder, what other resources we can offer this group in order to expand their skills and imagination.  With Valentine's day past and St. Patrick's day coming up, will the children note that on their personal calendars, or will their calendars mark their own play dates and friends birthday parties, trips to grandma's and other home events?
