This weekend, we threw open the doors and in two shifts we welcomed a hundred educators into New School-West. The teachers volunteered their time to speak about the work we do with children and make sure the spaces were inviting. At the end of each tour, Roleen asks for questions and collects reflections so that we make sure the participants are getting the most from their experience.
One participant asked Roleen how children adapted to the schools they attended after working in the Reggio Inspired atmosphere of New School-West. Roleen shared an anecdote of how we adjust (and continue to adjust) our curriculum and systems to support children within the context of their community. She continued to highlight what NSW is all about and why you and your children are so ready for the next step.
So, you’re ready! Or, you will be. And we are working with joy and inspiration to continue to grow alongside you.
