The West Wing responded to a photo of Tiziana and Loretta with Teacher Adriana and Roleen. Adriana asked the children what they wanted our visiting teachers to know about them:
Miles: The story (about the wall).
Christoph: The forest (part of that story).
Golda: The Building Space – building for the Big Bad Wolf (in that story).
Helena: Maybe, I love you?
Mars: I love you.
The East Wing imagined a narrated tour for Tiziana and Loretta as they thought of their days at NSW:
Good morning,
Welcome to New School West. This is the Front Yard and the Paper House. It has paper to draw something to put in the mailbox. We paint in the front yard. This is the Sand Area where we play and dig holes, dance, play games and family. Welcome inside our classroom where we have circle and meetings and appointments. We have a dry erase board to draw and you can play in the House Area. This is the Building Space, this is the “FriendSHIP” rocketship. We are a community.
And they are working on a welcoming sign for the front table from flower petals and new words – Benvenuta (welcome) Tiziana and Loretta.
