“We need a sun so the animals don’t have to put on a jacket.” -Ophelia

In the Forest Area in the East Wing, the children reflected on the need for a sun.

Payton: “It would be pretty in the forest with a sun. It would shine out and make the animals fly, not just butterflies, dragonflies too. It warms up the animals, it makes them unfrozen.”

Ophelia: “We need a sun in the forest so the animals don’t get cold and then need to put a jacket on and maybe they don’t have a jacket.”

Sergio: “The animals think the sun is shiny and warm.”

Teacher Amy: “How will we make it?”

Ophelia: “The sun should be yellow.”

Jake: “I think it should be black.”

Payton: “Yeah, the sun can go down and then it’s night time.”

Ophelia: “We can make a sun and a moon. We can put the sun up in the daytime and we can put the moon when it’s night time.”
