Today we embark on another year of creative movement appointments for the
children.
For those who don¹t know, I am Ilaan Mazzini (like I land on my feet minus
the D) and this will be my 4th year coming to NSW leading creative movement
investigations with your children.
We work with the language of movement and kinesthetic expression. Our
inquiries have been about insect, emotions, shapes, poems, spatial
awareness, sequential patterns, machines, animals, airplanes and memory to
name a few. I work closely with the teachers so that our sessions mirror and
support their classroom objectives. My work with NSW started simply to bring
my passion for movement into the school where my then 3-year-old son was
attending. It has grown to career path leading to the development of my
Family Dance Jam business, presenting workshops at Early Childhood
conferences about movement and teaching at other schools. As we begin our
next session I hope that you will follow our progress, come participate in a
class or dialogue with the children about what they are exploring.
This session meets on Monday afternoons with both West and East wings.
Everyone will have the opportunity to do one introductory class and then
teachers will create work groups based on interest in participating in my
class.
