Melanie and John announced their BIG NEWS! Baby ‘O’ (Oropallo) will arrive in September. We’re telling all the children this week and their responses will most likely be woven into your dinner conversation. With that, it’s safe to say you may get into some dialogue that has you thinking. . .ah. . .what do I say to this? Just know that with any new information, children are curious and explore by linking different and familiar ideas together to form their theories. They don’t need your ‘answers’ to their questions. They just really need to know you’re listening and connected to them in this process. How do you respond without answering? Turn their questions back to them, “You’re really thinking about that”, or “How do you feel about that?” or “What are your ideas about that?” We’ll keep you posted with conversations that pop up around here and hope that you link us into anything that’s coming up at your house.
