Liz: I’ve cooked with the children a couple times.
She thought that the morning offered more time to investigate the process – test the flavors, smell the ingredients and in this case, discover the difference between frozen and fresh blueberries when making muffins (frozen ones turn the batter blue!). On that morning, she stayed through lunch to serve the muffins afterwards. Olivia was so proud to have shared her mom and their baked goods. Olivia wanted to return again to give the afternoon group a chance. Today Liz repeated the experience in the afternoon.
Liz: The children made a connection to me ‘when are you coming to make more muffins?’ they asked every time they saw me after that. It’s the first time I’ve baked in two years. Everyone should do this. It’s so fun!
-Thanks, Liz – we LOVE having you here. xoxo
