Tips for East Wing Parents and Children

Children with parents stay on the north end of the EW classroom.

After saying goodbye the children transition in the south end of the classroom where they make their appointments and sign in. The choices for work/play will be on the rug using floor puzzles and magnet blocks or at the communication table using the dry erase boards or other materials that are set up for them. The Front Yard woodchip area will open after 8:30 ·

Meeting time begins at 9:00 and all goodbyes should have been completed by this time. This is a very important time of day when teachers and children gather, share information, and learn about new ideas and materials.

**Remember to come early if you and your child have a routine of spending time together before saying goodbye. · Anyone arriving after 9:00 should prepare their child to say goodbye upon arrival and, to limit interruptions, a teacher will help them into the morning meeting area.
