Food Drive

About the Westside Food Bank

You may have noticed that there is a big barrel marked Westside
Food Bank in the middle courtyard as you enter the school.  Every year we support their efforts to bring
food to those families in our community who need our help.  As the holidays approach, it is a good time
to help our children feel the importance of giving and sharing as well as
receiving during a time when there seems to be so much materialistic focus.  The following is a list of food items that
are suggested as good choices for the donation barrel.  Note too, that the WFB is also looking
for frozen turkeys or hams for the holiday.  For further information you can call Allison at (310) 828-6016

and write “Food Drive” or “Frozen Turkeys” in the subject line.    The last barrel will be picked up on
Friday, December 18^th.

instant soups                             fruit
juices                            hot and cold cereals

stews and other meats

Also:

Baby foods are urgently needed (for baby food, glass
jars are okay, otherwise, no glass please.
