Gift for the teachers

MAKE THE HOLIDAYS MERRY AND BRIGHT

FOR THE TEACHERS!

Dear New School West Families:

Juicing oranges. Making block cities and building draw bridges. Soothing our babies to sleep at naptime. Exploring the neighborhood. Helping plants grow …

It’s the teachers that make it all happen. The little things that seem so simple—things that we might take for granted—get transformed into evocative experiences, meaningful memories and indispensable teaching moments for our children.

Just think of how much the teachers do to make New School West a special and safe place for our children. They work tirelessly to develop new ways to stimulate and engage our children (even coming in on the weekends to redesign the entire classroom spaces).  They don’t just teach, but they follow, nurture, connect, and play with our children every day.

The holidays offer us an opportunity to show our deep gratitude for all that our wonderful teachers do.   We have a holiday tradition of a cash gift to the teachers in appreciation of everything they give our children, and in turn, our families.

This year we ask that each family donate at least $35.00.  While this is a suggested minimum, please feel free to give more. The money will be evenly distributed between the teachers before the school break. Please place a check (made out to CASH) or place cash in the large envelope on the office door (marked Teacher Holiday Gift 2013).

The deadline is Monday, December 16th.

Please help us say thank you to ADRIANA, AMY, CINDY, CYNTHIA, EVELYN, FLORA, IVANA, JESSICA, KATHERINE, KRIS, MELANIE, SAM, SILVANA and SUSAN. Let them know how much we love them!

With warm thanks and holiday wishes,
