I want to make sure to say. . .how soooooo much I appreciated sitting around the room with the teachers on Friday night. . . the perfect setting to celebrate the amazing beings they are. Each so uniquely who they are coming together as an inspiring bouquet! And, they brought me a gift! My gift. . . .oh, my gift! I am overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness in intention to make me visible. As I read the words so carefully written around my favorite flower relief, a gardenia, I hear myself and love the legacy we are creating together. Teacher Katherine, the presentation of this piece is breathtaking and your talents shine so ready to be recognized. Thanks soooooo much, Janice and Brian (graduate Van, 2017), and the Teacher Appreciation Team for hosting a most meaningful event for me to celebrate the teachers and all the goodness they are. The setting, the food, the beauty and love. . . Just perfect.
I am buoyed by all of you and had a great day Friday. I’m feeling stronger and more in my body. My plan is to join you for Parents’ Days. I will enter from the Venice gate, tell my usual stories (why break tradition?!) and then blow kisses and exit via the Venice gate. Maybe you can let the children know that I have to pass on the hugs this time since the doctor says I need to stay germ-free. Just to warn them before I enter so no one rushes toward me. It only takes one and then. . . well. . . you know what happens. Fingers crossed, I’m up for it. – Roleen
