The “Buddy Pics” have been up on the wall for about two weeks now and we continue to see the children looking at themselves with their friends and talking about what they were doing in that space. They look at the pictures with their friends and with their parents during morning drop off.
Max: “Hey, I have on the same shirt in the picture!”
Blue:”Remember when we were in the building space?”
As these pictures increase, the first ones will be saved in a book on the EW cubbies.
Watching the children and the families look at the pictures and listening to them comment in positive ways lets the teachers know how important it is. The parents feel that they are that much closer to seeing what happens everyday and the relationships that are forming between all of the children. It’s exciting for the children to see themselves and their friends.
