It is through engaged learning that we can realize potential in ourselves and from others. Josephine and Miro were invited to work together at the Communication Center to deepen their relationship.
Miro: I’m making a Miro house. I need someone to hold this.
Josephine: I can.
Miro: She supported me. I’m going to support her.
Josephine: Can you make a clock?
Miro: What time?
Josephine: Four o’clock.
Miro: That’s my favorite time.
We strive to hold a strong image of each child as capable, caring, creative, curious, and collaborative – full of contributions the world needs now. Our daily experience with them holds this to be true. We know that it is our job to co-create a context of environments, materials, relationships and inquiry that fosters them to see and anticipate these qualities in themselves and in others. – Teacher Silvana
