Just a bit of information about this weekend's return to standard time. It will be getting dark earlier so expect some possible confusion with your child's time schedule. "It feels like I'm late but look at the clock. I still pick you up at the same time." Think of it this way, if you are picking your child up anytime between 4:00 and 5:30 it may feel like you're "late" because the air, temperature, and change of light is different with the time change. It's not an easy thing to explain but important to recognize and address. If when you arrive and your child seems anxious that you are late, understand the confusion. "It may seem like I'm late but the clock will let you know I still come at ____". The teachers will be on the look out for who might have a slight "concern" and talk about the time change and other changes with them and the group as we enter the fall and winter seasons in our subtle L.A. fashion. Remember, too, that it's especially important during this shift of time reference that you let us in on any changes to pick up routines. Thanks.
