Hope you all had a relaxing weekend full of “mothering” and are ready for the weeks coming up. Here’s what we’ve got going:
Tuesday (tomorrow!), May 12th: EW Trike-a-Thon. 9:30 to 10:00. This year we’ll be collecting funds to support our NSW grad, Sona (info on the blog). Those who do not attend on Tuesdays are also welcome to join the fun. Parents will drop bikes/trikes/scooters and helmets (they will need helmets) in the front yard (LABEL EVERYTHING) and say ‘goodbye’ in the usual way. WE NEED YOUR HELP ON THE CORNERS TO MAKE SURE WE ARE ALL SAFE. There is a sign up sheet on the door. We’ll be going up May St. and back down May St. If you can, plan to stay for this event and join us on Venice Blvd. The children will be exiting the front gate at 9:30. It will be helpful if after the ride, you take your child’s “wheels” home so we can free up the yard for the play of the day. Any questions, Kris or the teachers can help.

Wednesday, May 13th: Coffee with Roleen has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 20th. 9:30 to 11:30. The Dvochak-Choe family will host. The address is 2329 32nd St. Santa Monica.
Thursday, May 14th: WW Trike-a-Thon. 9:30 to 10:00. Details same as described above for the EW day.
Friday, May 22nd: Early Pick up Day (12:15)
Monday, May 25th: School is closed for Memorial Day

May 29th, 30th: Camping weekend
Wednesday, June 3rd: Wine with Roleen for the graduating parents. 7:00 to 9:00. Hosted by Xylia’s family. 12548 Everglade St.
Sunday, June 7th: Taco/Marguerita party at Roleen and Jim’s for parents. 1:00 to 4:00. It’s a Thank You for all you do for us.
Sunday, June 7th: Kids Day Out at NSW. 12:30 to 4:30. Look for sign ups posted on the door.
Tuesday, June 9th: Parents’ Day for the EW. 8:30 to 10:00. If you can, plan to get a sitter for the siblings. It’s a time for your child to “show you around”, make you some juice and participate in their favorite activities (sans the mud pit!). We’ll have coffee and a continental breakfast and you’ll be a part of circletime around 9:45 so then we can send you off (gift in hand) back to work while we continue on with our day. . . grateful, once again, to have you in our lives.

So you can see. . .we’re winding down and yet gearing up at the same time. Savor every moment. xooxoR
