It’s Monday, August 17, 2015, and we’re moving along with a great first week. The family picnic was a sweet culmination and reward for all our hard work and we are grateful that you came. Luckily, Alla Park’s trees were the perfect umbrella for us and the breeze was refreshing. Thanks, Liz, Greg, Maya, Kate, Mike, Amanda, and Claudia for setting the scene for all of us to come together to share food and friendship. You made it easy!

Wednesday, August 19th: Parent Partners meeting from 6:45 to 9:00. This is an important night of coming together to sign up for our Parent Teams that are vital for a smooth running school year. Sadly, Claudia and Jorge will not be able to continue their commitment to clean the school in the evenings. Please let us know if you have someone who may be able to support us. We need someone who understands the importance of the children’s work and values the beauty of the environment. We also need someone who can be linked to our NSW payroll. Let us know if you have the perfect person! ASAP!
If you haven’t seen it already, you have to check out our new home for the turtles who live in the WW. Thanks to Maya (Luke/WW) and Eco Station, they have a nice big tank and thanks to Persephone’s (EW) Grampa Dan, we have a strong table to support the viewing. And, a special thanks to teacher Jessica, for coordinating it all. It’s quite a responsibility so we are looking for families who want to help her keep the tank clean and Morla, Cody, and Squirt happy! If you’re a turtle-lover, let us know.
Our school calendar will be posted on the blog and ready for you on Wednesday so you can coordinate dates and events as well as vacations, holidays, and school closures.

Saturday, September 19th: Mrs. Nelson’s Book Fair at NSW from 9:00 to 2:00 And. . . Melanie and John are getting married! Xox
Tuesday, September 22nd: WW Parent-Teacher Conferences begin. Look for sign ups for times.
Friday, September 25th: EARLY PICK UP DAY (12:15). Teachers continue with Parent-Teacher Conferences.
