Time to coordinate your calendars. It’s not over yet!
Wednesday, May 27th: Cindy and Adriana will share their Identity Presentation at the Pedagogical Institute (2940 Nebraska in S.M.) to parents and community members from 5:30 to 7:30. If you weren’t able to attend when they presented before, now’s your chance. The installation will be up for another three weeks and then we are finding spaces to keep the exhibit alive (if you know of any places, let us know). It’s quite amazing! We will be putting on some chili and have the beer and wine on hand to sip, so tell us you can come and we’ll have everything ready for you.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday/ May 29th, 30th, 31st: NSW Camping Trip. It looks to be a great weekend. Enjoy, be safe, and send some photos!
Wednesday, June 3rd: Wine with Roleen for parent of graduates. Hosted by Xylia’s parents at 12548 Everglade St. from 7:00 to 9:00. Bring a bottle of wine to share. The Holzs’ will provide the nibbles. We’ll talk transitions and what that means for us! Parents who’ve been there before will share their stories. This night is all about us!! The children will be fine!
Sunday, June 7th: Thank you Taco Party for parents. 1:00 to 4:00. Respond to the Evite that was sent to you so Jim and I know how many to plan for! Our address is 1636 S. Point View St. L.A. 90035. Hope you can come! Kid’s Night Out at NSW will run from 12:30-4:30 at school, sign up on the door and drop a check in the office to reserve your spot!
Tuesday, June 9th: Parents’ Day for the EastWing. 8:30 to 10:00. If you can, plan to get a sitter for the siblings. It’s a time for your child to “show you around”, make you some juice and participate in their favorite activities (sans the mud pit!). We’ll have coffee and a continental breakfast and you’ll be a part of circletime around 9:45 so then we can send you off (gift in hand) back to work while we continue on with our day. . . grateful, once again, to have you in our lives.
P.S. If you can’t join us for the whole morning, let us know so we can be ready with a treat.

Thursday, June 18th: New Parent Orientation Night. 7:00 to 9:00. If you’re a buddy, plan to come to welcome our new families. If you’re returning with your sibling, plan to come and meet your new team of parents. Let us know if you can sign up to bring nibbles and drink. It’s an important night and one that kicks off our new year with the Welcome! we all deserve. Thanks!
Friday, June 19th: Teacher Appreciation Happy/Hour Dinner. 5:30 to 8:30. The Teacher Appreciation Parent Team are meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 8:30 to get the ball rolling. Look for a letter to come soon with details as to how you can celebrate these amazing teachers.
Monday, June 22nd: Family Pages Night. 6:45 to 9:00. This night is for you parents who are returning or starting with your new little ones. It’s that night when you bring photos to begin your Family Book. Don’t miss it!
Friday, July 17th: School is closed. The East Wingers. . . you will be graduating from 11 to 2 and details for that will be coming soon.
Monday–Friday/July 20th to 24th: We will have one week of Summer Camp. Sign ups are posted on the blog (right above the calendar). Times are 9:00 to 4:00.
Wednesday, August 12th: New school year begins.
