A message to all members of Friends of Walgrove
Thank you Walgrove Community!
Yesterday, we loaded and filled 2 semi trucks full of electronic waste
that will be recycled. It was an unbelievable amount of stuff! Our
community has a lot more space in our garages today..
We had a steady flow of drop offs all day from 9am till well past 3pm.
Our last TV drop was at 5pm! We had families drop off from neighboring
schools as well: Beethoven, Ocean Charter, Canyon Charter and beyond. It
felt great to be providing this service to our community –
We will have final weight and numbers later this week.
Thanks to everyone who posted flyers and signs, sent emails, posted on
blogs, facebook, and spread the word…
There are some individuals who went that extra mile to help us out with
this event – I have much gratitude to you all…There is no way this
could have happened without each and every one of you!
And, if you haven't looked around lately…we have some supreme, rockin'
muscle at Walgrove…those old monitors and tvs are HEAVY!
Soren Hansen (closing it down @ 5pm!) Steve Dean (two days in a row!),
John Fischer, John Reimers, Jeff Compton, Cody Mcnally (closing it down
at 5pm!), Nicolette, Yu Mei, Michelle Dean, Laurie Hansen, Mark
Ruvelson, Todd, Sarah Reimers, Grace Wexler, Rick Qualliotine (community
