Here’s the Nuts and Bolts…
Every year, the children are interested in how things work. There have been structural changes in the back patio to support the function of pulleys (thanks to our engineers Geoff and Eric). And we’ve redesigned our classrooms to allow room for elaborate machines supporting thrust, trajectory and pull. And so, the teachers are wanting to go deeper in their own understanding of ‘how things work’ so that we can support the children. We will be deconstructing to see exaclty what tools we need, how parts work together and how to reimagine their uses.
CAN YOU PROVIDE SIMPLE MACHINES?
We will be gathering wind up clocks, toasters, anything non-computer chip dependent and as teachers, we’ll deconstruct. If you have something unwanted in your garage, would you drop it in the entrance hall basket before Tuesday next week?
Thanks! Gearing up for a good time!!
