Teacher Jen: Do you remember your favorite time with Madeleine?
India: When I was in the atelier, you were playing kitties. I had so much fun with you that the next time I made you hearts.
Rio: I remember when I was playing teddies and you and I had as much fun as I could possibly get.
Teacher Jen: I remember when we were playing game show host and I was the host and you were the contestant. I was trying to trick you. Did I trick you?
Madeleine: No!
Teacher Jen: I never could.
Teacher Silvana: I remember dance party with you.
Teacher Flora: I remember the walks and the bugs you were excited to see. And I remember laying down next to you at nap time. Next to you and Babba, and today, Cupcake.
Teacher Katherine: I remember what we liked to do during partner time.
Madeleine: Drawing.
Teacher Jen: What mantra will you take with you on your next steps?
Madeleine shakes her head, ‘no’, and dabs her eyes with her sweatshirt.
Teacher Flora: Maybe your friends can help?
Theo P.: Helping people and happy moving.
Madeleine liked that mantra and with the help of her community of teachers and friends, she said her goodbyes last Friday.
