“Children as Producers of Culture” — Photos from the Conference NSW Tour
Last month New School-West, along with Palisades Preschool, First Pres. Nursery School, Evergreen and the Pedagogical Institute, hosted the “Children as Producers of Culture” conference. Harold Göthson, the inspirational speaker at the teachers’ Study Tour in Sweden, flew here to offer the first day keynote speech. Literally busloads of educators toured all three schools,

NSW installs YOUR children’s work at the Pedagogical Institute
Camilla Hjerl Hansen (Viggo, EW) and Stephanie Holz (Xylia, EW) met with the whole staff today to discuss an installation of the children’s work on identity formation. We presented this work at last weekend’s conference, the last parent enrichment afternoon and will be installing it in the gallery space at the Pedagogical Institute…

KOREAN TEACHER VISIT, 1/29/15 (PART 2)
The lunch was hosted at Sarah Reimer’s house. There were 20 visitors from Korea, and from NSW there was Roleen, Kris, Amy, Cindy and Adriana. Parents who attended were Tamy Cohen, Sarah Reimers, Jill Bryman, and Karen Koh (Sean Maher helped set-up but had to leave before guests arrived). The kids at NSW had questions…
