Holiday Sing – practice

Although they may break into song in the bathtub or the backseat,  you’ll not recognize the chorus next week as the children lift their voices to the rafters on Tuesday and Wednesday in joy of the season. Here are the practice sessions for the Holiday Sing.

Lev:            “I was singing but I didn’t sing all the numbers (for the song, Number Rock) because I don’t know all the numbers yet.”
Phoebe:    “First we sing, then the West Wingers sing.”
Georgia:   “They (the East Wing) did good singing.”
Leo:           “The East Wingers did too much singing.”

As one Wing sings from the bleachers, the other Wing becomes the ‘audience’ and watches during pratice.  Just to prepare you, it’s very typical that some children will want to play the role of the ‘audience’ again on their night to sing. It’s a wonderful role and a night to be together, so if your child bee-lines to your lap instead of the bleachers, clear a space and snuggle close to watch the friends sing.  See you there!
