What is a Food Bank?
At East Wing circle last week Yoli brought in the Food Bank barrel and asked what the children knew about the Food Bank.
Owen on the idea of charity: “I’m donating a bike to a family who has three kids and one mom. Sometimes it’s good to give food to people who don’t have money or you can give toys.”
Micah, speaking from a personal experience with hunger: “My parents are not going to give food because as a matter of fact, they are going to say ‘Let’s keep the food’, because I am ALWAYS hungry.”
