Lily, Archer’s grandma in the West Wing, came to cook pot stickers with the children for snack today. She shared a little Chinese culture, language, and traditional foods with a small group then Adrian, Archer’s dad, cooked and served. Everyone clamored for more! Thank you, Lily and Adrian, for sharing your time and traditions with us. Sign up in the hallway to come and cook with the children. They are a very appreciative audience!
Lily: The dough is called by different names. In India, it is called Naan. In the Middle East, it’s called Flatbread. In China, it is called Jaiozi.
